End User Licence Agreement

1. Licensor and acceptance

Erynva is licensed by Peter Stoney, a sole trader operating under the registered business name Erynva (ABN 42 423 397 171), based in Victoria, Australia. “Erynva”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that business.

By installing or using Erynva, you accept this EULA. If you act for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. If you do not accept this EULA, do not install or use the software. Online account and subscription features are also governed by the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Australian launch licence

The current version is offered for use by individuals and organisations located in Australia. Subject to this EULA and the applicable plan’s active-device limit, Peter Stoney grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Erynva for lawful personal or internal business purposes on authorised devices. The software is licensed, not sold.

You may permit employees or contractors under your control to use an authorised installation for your internal purposes. You remain responsible for ensuring they follow this EULA.

3. Permitted use and restrictions

You may use Erynva to process documents you are authorised to handle and make a reasonable backup copy of an installer where the distribution channel permits. You must not distribute, sublicense, rent, sell or provide Erynva as a hosted service; remove ownership notices; evade licence or device limits; use it to attack or probe a system; or reverse engineer, decompile or modify it except to the extent applicable law permits despite this restriction.

4. Your documents and local data

You retain ownership and control of your documents. Erynva processes documents, OCR text and extracted values locally and renames files on your device. The normal workflow does not upload them to Erynva’s account service or a cloud AI service.

Renaming can affect how other software, links, backups and records systems find a file. You are responsible for authority to handle each document, appropriate backups, checking results before relying on them, and meeting any professional, confidentiality, privacy, legal-hold or records obligations that apply to you. Erynva does not replace review of the document itself.

5. Local models and machine-assisted results

Erynva uses platform OCR and a model downloaded to and run on your computer. Extraction is probabilistic: a field may be missing, incomplete or wrong. Review and correct results, especially before an automatic rename or any regulated, safety-critical or professional use. Downloading a model or update requires internet access and disk space but does not send document content with the download.

6. Third-party components

Erynva includes or interoperates with open-source and third-party software, models, platform services and update infrastructure. Some components are governed by separate notices or licence terms. Those terms govern the relevant component only and do not reduce mandatory rights you may have against Erynva. You may request the component and notice list for a release from support.

7. Accounts, subscriptions and stores

The free local allowance does not require an account. Paid features require an account and current entitlement under the Terms of Service. Your distribution platform may impose additional terms. If a mandatory platform term conflicts with this EULA, that platform term applies to the extent of the conflict; otherwise this EULA continues.

8. Updates and preview software

Erynva may offer security, compatibility or feature updates through its official website or relevant store. An update may be necessary to maintain compatibility, security or an online feature. We will explain a material change where reasonably practicable.

A build clearly labelled beta, preview or test may be incomplete, unstable or changed before general release. Use preview software only with non-sensitive test data and current backups unless its release notice expressly says it is suitable for production use.

9. Ownership and feedback

Peter Stoney and Erynva’s licensors retain all rights in the software, services, branding and documentation other than the licence expressly granted here. If you voluntarily provide general feedback, you permit us to use it to improve Erynva without payment or attribution. This does not grant rights to your documents, personal information or confidential material.

10. Consumer guarantees and warranty

Nothing in this EULA excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under the Australian Consumer Law. The software comes with guarantees that may apply to acceptable quality, fitness for a disclosed purpose and due care and skill.

Subject to those rights, we do not promise that machine-assisted extraction will interpret or name every document correctly or that the software will be compatible with every file, system or workflow. This qualification does not excuse Erynva from using due care or providing any remedy required by law.

11. Ending this licence

You may end the licence by stopping use and uninstalling Erynva. We may end it if you materially breach this EULA and, where the breach can be fixed, do not fix it within a reasonable time after notice. We may act immediately where continued use creates a serious security or legal risk.

When the licence ends, stop using and uninstall the software. Ending the licence does not delete your documents or automatically remove local app data, models or settings. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate processes described on the website.

12. Governing law and contact

This EULA is governed by the laws of Victoria and Australia. The courts of Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right to bring a claim elsewhere. If part is unenforceable, it is read down or removed only to the necessary extent and the rest continues.
